VIRTUAL CLASS WHY NOT?

Have you ever you experience, to have to a flue or you just can´t talk or you're tired of explaining to the same topic, over and over again, why not use youtube as a tool A few days ago I made this video, and today I use it in class it was amazing to see how the students engage in it, besides it changes the dynamic of the class even though it´s you again.

The cool thing about using Youtube as a tool is they can rewatch it at home as many times as they want and the can practice after.

The topic that I select it is Superlative and comparatives. After the video and followed the notes taking, they made a really easy exercise, in this small activity, they compare their own ex-boyfriends or ex-girlfriends, with a photo in a collage mode.

It definitely succeeds and the students started to making questions and asking about more vocabulary wich I love.

Generating a public space to share among academics, and to share academic information in a few years ago it was really complicated but I have found google drive a very useful resource, sharing the URL of the videos, or uploading information, sometimes this include privileges.

HOW IMPORTANT IS TO INCLUDE THE SOCIAL MEDIA IN CLASS?

It's really important, social media and the effect it has on the way students process and retain information, as well as how distracting it can be.

However, social media offers plenty of opportunities for learning and interactivity, and if you take a moment to think about it, it’s not too hard to see how students benefit from using social media. As younger generations use such technology in the classroom, they remake the educational landscape.

Students are experiencing the world through more than just books and assignments; they are learning and adapting to the world using a relatively new form of communication. In a world where connections are important, graduates are coming into the workplace with a lot to offer.

I what to share how I use it in my class, If you have any comments, or another way to use social media in class, please share.

Use Twitter it's a great resource, to ask questions to your student, please use hashtags to make it fun, and keep it interesting.

Facebook it's also a great tool to share results of quizzes and compare, between the students.
